increase in anxiety and depression around the world after the COVID-19 pandemic.

In recent years, mental health has become an increasingly present concern in our society.

The combination of social isolation, fear and uncertainty has led to a significant increase in mental health problems around the world.

Objectives

01

This project aims to identify what is happening to the user and generate changes in the user's mental health.

  • Self care and prevention

Insights

There is a growing interest in the prevention of both physical and mental illnesses. Self care is more important than ever, people want to feel in control of their body and mind.

People would like to identify their emotional triggers or alarming patterns.

Existing applications do not motivate or have any incentive for the user to use them regularly.

No knowledge of activities that take place in the city when the person has free time.

The pandemic generated an increase in people's level of anxiety, due to being in a state of crisis and constant hyperproductivity.

We created a mood tracking app to help people with poor management of time and emotions to use their free time in a healthy and productive way to improve their mood.

How do we solve it?

We change your day to day life

We provide the user with a new way of organizing their time, giving suggestions of activities they can do based on their mood. They can also detect any alarming patterns and take active steps to improve their mental health.

Impact & Lessons Learned

Sphere demonstrates how UX/UI design can play a role in supporting mental wellbeing. By combining daily mood tracking with personalized activity suggestions, the app empowers users to build self-awareness, organize their time, and take proactive steps toward improving their emotional health. Unlike many mood trackers, Sphere focuses not only on logging emotions but also on turning insights into actionable routines.

This project strengthened my ability to:

  • Translate research insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Design for sensitive contexts with empathy and clarity.
  • Balance aesthetic decisions with usability to ensure trust and adoption.
